Studio one
In the year
2000 the station was awarded a Lottery "Awards For All" grant
of nearly £5,000. This was for the purchase of the latest high-tech
computer digital playout system known as
"Myriad". This system is state of the art and enables the presenter
to play music, promotional materials and jingles straight from the
computer database. If a request is telephoned in, the library of
music can be searched in seconds, and
cued up for playing as the next item
immediately
Studio two
In 2002 the station was awarded its
second "Awards For All" Lottery grant. Enabling it to construct a
professional control room/editing studio in preparation for some new
exciting ventures. In addition, this studio is designed to go live
on-air, should the main on-air studio develop a fault or require
maintenance.
Record Library
Although Myriad currently contains about 4,000 songs and is
being added to, the stations main record library contains over
30,000 pieces of music.
